Café del Mar presents an evening with Sandra Sully and Mikey Robins proudly supporting Multiple Sclerosis
Café del Mar is proud to support Multiple Sclerosis Limited, Australia on Wednesday 24 May with a special fundraising event, hosted by Sandra Sully, MS Ambassador and one of Australia’s most respected journalists and news presenters. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a cause that sits close to Sandra’s heart; her sister-in-law was diagnosed in 2004 when she was just 34. Sandra is well aware of the struggles Angelique lives with on a daily basis.
Joining Sandra is one of Australia’s most loved media personalities and comedians, Mikey Robins, who will provide the entertainment by bringing his wit and humor to the stage to keep guests entertained.
While supporting a great cause, guests will be treated to a delicious three-course dinner in Café del Mar’s famous Mediterranean-inspired, modern Australian style. The dinner offering will be accompanied by quality beer, and wine kindly provided by Tomich Wines.
All profits from the evening will be donated to MS charities, a cause that is very personal to the Café del Mar team who have also experienced close family members suffering from MS.
Their close friend, Carmel Romeo, tragically lost her brother to MS and was later personally diagnosed with the disease 10 years ago. Carmel has worked tirelessly to help raise awareness for MS, taking part in many fund-raising activities including the MS Walk & Fun Run and she hopes this event will raise further funds and awareness for the charity.
MS affects over 23,000 in Australia and more than two million diagnosed worldwide. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40, but it can affect younger and older people too. Roughly three times as many women have MS as men. (Source: MS Australia).
The event takes place on Wednesday 24 May from 6.30pm at Café del Mar on Cockle Bay Wharf, overlooking Darling Harbour in Sydney.
Tickets are priced at $150pp or $1400 for a table of 10 and are available from www.cafedelmar.com.au
